China recorded 129, 988 coronavirus cases since the epidemic began, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). In addition, China reported 4636 deaths in total.

#Kris Wu has been arrested
Kris Wu is a former super idol that was popular mostly among young generation. He was endorsed by international giant brands as Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Bulgari and L’Oreal.
He has been arrested due to illegal sexual relationships with his fans and young females under 18 years old, as well as drug abuse accuse.
This hot topic spread rapidly on social media where various accounts posted relevant content with heated discussions, driving high volume of internet traffic.

#Three-child policy formally passed into law
China has formally revised its laws to allow couples to have up to three children, to boost the birth rate. China’s one-child policy started in 1980 and was strictly enforced before it was officially ended in January 2016 in favour of a two-child policy.
Responding to its 2020 census results, China introduced a three-child policy in May 2021 after Chinese mothers gave birth to just 12 million babies in 2020.
The regulation was passed at a meeting of the country’s top lawmakers, the National People’s Congress (NPC), on August 20, 2021.

In July, 12 people have died after record-breaking rainfall flooded underground railway tunnels in China, leaving passengers trapped in rising waters.
Days of rain have caused widespread damage and led to 200,000 evacuations. In total, 25 people have died in Henan province and more than a dozen cities are affected.
Several dams and reservoirs have breached warning levels, and soldiers have been mobilised to divert rivers which have burst their banks. Flights and trains in many parts of Henan have also been suspended.
President Xi Jinping said that there had been “significant loss of life and damage to property”.

Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics is scheduled to take place from 4 to 20 February 2022 in Beijing and towns in the neighboring Hebei province. He was 90. Mr. Yuan’s research made him a national hero and a symbol of dogged scientific pursuit in China.
His death triggered messages of grief across the country, where Mr. Yuan — slight and wizened in old age — was a national hero.

#Anti-Fraud
A new anti-fraud mobile app made by the Chinese government has shot to the top of the country’s iOS App Store charts less than a month after launch, as users take to the review section and online forums to complain about being forced to install the app.
Named “National Anti-fraud Centre” and available on both Android and Apple devices, the app was developed by the Ministry of Public Security and the National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team (CNCERT).
Since its launch in mid-March, the app has quickly become the most downloaded free app in Apple’s App Store in China.
Since last year, China has launched several high-profile telecoms and online anti-fraud campaigns, as the number of technology-related crimes surged amid the coronavirus pandemic, when people became increasingly reliant on the internet for remote work and schooling.

2021 marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of China’s aerospace industry.
The “Tianwen-1” probe successfully landed on Mars, and the “Zhurong” rover launched a patrol mission. It is the first time for the Chinese to observe the red planet at such a close range; the construction of the Chinese space station accompanied the smooth entry of the “Tianhe” core module.
The “Tianzhou Series” cargo spacecraft, “Shen XII” and “Shen XIII” manned spacecraft successfully completed rendezvous and docking with the space station, marking a further step in the construction of China’s space station.

July 1st marks the 100th Anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party.
